Discover Concord's last half century as Lura Dymond tackles the explosive growth that has swept through the city. In this narrative, which is shaped by unique memories and complemented by historic photographs, longtime Concord citizens will remember their past while newcomers revel in the history that shaped their city.

In the course of 50 years, Concord has graciously welcomed a booming population and built homes, schools and churches where its pastures and groves once prevailed. For 30 years it has embraced commercial growth, luring both entrepreneurs and corporations to its fold. And over the last decade, the community has taken a deep breath and begun to revitalize the city.

In the face of such unparalleled change, Concord has not forgotten its identity as a tightly woven community. Instead, its growth has provided rich soil - people and their history, culture and arts - for its roots to grow deeper.
